WINTEX STRIKERS vs SHADAB SPORTS

Wintex Strikers faced Shadab Sports in this thrilling encounter of the Ramzan Challengers FC Cup. Shadab Sports batted first and were off to a decent start. But the opening stand did not last very long as Omer Rajkot lost his wicket just for 8 runs. Osama Naeem provided an aggressive start as he made 23 runs off just 9 balls. But the best was yet to come, as Talha Faheem and Daniyal Asif played two brilliant innings and helped their side in posting a huge total. Talha was in great form as he scored 59 runs of just 38 deliveries. Daniyal Asif provided the needed calmness to the partnership with his 62 ball 66. At the end of 20 overs, Shadab Sports scored 174 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.
In order to chase this target, Wintex Strikers needed to score at around 9 runs per over. But any hopes of a solid start were shattered as Adnan Salim got out for just 1 run. But the damage was repaired as Atif Ahmed and Faisal Butt starred in a match defining partnership. Atif scored 39 runs off 26 balls while Faisal bagged 34 runs off 24 deliveries. The flow of runs stopped for a while as Wintex Strikers lost a few quick wickets. Rafay Malik got 2 for 21 but before he could put his team in the driving seat, Saad Ahmed played a match winning knock. Saad scored 44 runs off 22 balls with a strike rate of 200. This innings paved a way for Wintex Strikers to chase the target and they won the match by 4 wickets in the 19th over.
