Karachi Kaikras Vs DPLC
A beautiful day to play a beautiful game of cricket here at the Eastern Star Cricket ground. Karachi Kaikras and DPLC face off for ultimate glory. Karachi Kaikras batted first and were off to a rocky start losing opener Ali for just 10 runs. The team struggle throughout their innings, unable to capitalize on some decent starts. Haris and Sikander contributed cameos of 25 while Umer Haroon top scored with 35 runs. Saad Sattar, Daniyal Latif and Nimo bowled amazing spells and picked up 2 wickets each. Talha Abbas managed to score 18 runs, but was eventually taken down by Saad Sattar. Karachi Kaikras were bowled out for 157 runs in 20 overs.
DPLC did a good job by dismantling the entire Karachi Kaikras batting line up in the first innings. However the chase saw a different story. They lost their top 4 batsmen for just 12 runs and were unable to recover at any stage. Kaikras bowlers were lethal with the ball, picking up wickets at key times to restrict the opposition. Haris, Jawwad, Ahsan Mustafa and Ali struck with the ball, taking 2 wickets each. All of them managed to pick up 2 wickets each. Gundil was the only notable batsman for his side, scoring 23 runs but the remaining batsmen were unable to contribute. DPLC were bowled out for 105 runs in 17.4 overs.
Karachi Kaikras won by 52 runs.
