Friends XI and AAG CC contested for the Super Challengers Cup at Asifabad.
AAG CC batted first, and their openers exploited the powerplay overs, Kamran faced 28 balls and scored 40 runs. He played vigilantly, found the gaps and collected six 4's. Fareed(37) also cascaded the field as he struck five 4's and one 6. However, Friends XI made their presence felt when Kamran fell to Faheem's bowling and when Fareed was caught by Haris. Despite posing vehement threats, neither of the batsmen could secure half centuries as both were driven out by Friends XI. This endeavour was taken up by Muzammil(48) who played steadily and also surprized his opponents by securing four 4's. The performance brought him closer to a half century but he was 2 short at the end of 20 overs. But it was Jameel who blasted Friends XI bowling attack by hitting 5 sixes and 3 fours scoring 68 runs at a strike rate of 243 this changed the fate of AAG CC. At the end of 20 overs and with the loss of 2 wickets, AAG rounded up with 222 runs.
In the second innings Friends XI had to chase a giagantic target of 223. Tahir was first in the batting line up and got a golden duck. Zohaib steadied the ship by scoring a composed half century he scored 52 runs off 30 balls and bagged five 4's and three 6's. Wali(11) also scored two boundaries but fell cheaply, while Qamar stood strong against the bowling attack and retaliated with a score of 41 runs which included four 4's. Sabih tried to keep the torch lit and hit a brilliant 6, but the innings lost vigor after he was caught for 18. After this point the scoring decelerated and wickets kept falling. Iftikhar(4), Khurram(9) and Faheem(10) were easily ousted by the bowlers. AAG CC was on point with its bowling as well. Salman, Mobeen and Fareed picked up one wicket each, while Kamran picked up two and Haris picked up three. Friends XI were attacked from all sides and were only able to gather 157 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. AAG CC on by a margin of 65 runs and with that took home the Super Challengers Cup.
