Samba Bank Warriors and Adamjee Life Assurance went against each other on 11 September at the Hill Park Cricket Ground.
Adamjee Life opened the match with Mujahid Siddiqui and Saad Hassan. While Mujahid scored 15 runs, Saad got out on 2 runs only. Al Hassan, the one-down batsman, scored 23 runs and stabilised the innings. The bowlers dominated in the middle overs, as Yousuf Bhatti bagged 3 wickets. Obaid Siddiqui successfully scored 41 off 26 and led the team to a total of 129 runs.
Farooq Seraj and Clayton D’Souza opened the second innings for Samba Warriors. Both the openers added a total of 30 runs to the score. Faraz Sandhu, the one-down batsman, scored 36 runs and was the highest scorer of the innings. The bowlers displayed a mediocre effort, as they were unable to defend their score and dismissed only 4 batsmen.
As a result, Samba Warriors easily chased the score in the 17th over only.
