Takaful Pakistan batted first against Adamjee Life Insurance at the IPL Season 2. The team however struggled to really get going at any stage, getting some decent starts but throwing away their wickets after that. Openers Maqsood and Mazhar scored 17 runs each while Shehroz Haider and Kamran Hanif were the most notable players from their side with 24 and 27 runs respectively. Adamjee bowlers kept the pressure on, picking up wickets consistently, not allowing the batsmen to score freely. However, the extra 22 runs they gave helped Takaful Pakistan reach 136 for 7 in 20 overs.
In response, Adamjee Life's top order was completely blown away with their top 4 batsmen being dismissed in single digits. Abdul Mohid, Umer Noor, Obaid Siddiqui and Muhammad Adnan then helped stabilize the innings, contributing 25, 35, 21 and 15 respectively to help Adamjee Life chase down the target in 19.1 overs. Takaful bowlers did well to fight back with Junaid Tabish, Habib Ullah and Kamran Hanif taking 2 wickets each but it wasn't enough to defend the modest total.
Adamjee Life won by 3 wickets.
