Mavericks came in to bat first & were off to a flying start. Despite loosing 2 wickets inside the powerplay they were scoring at a high rate. Arsalan Amin & Adeel Meo put up a partnership of 50+ runs giving their team an accelerating start. Despite the fall of 2 early wickets the duo played positive cricket. Both the batsmen made full use of the powerplay overs striking the ball towards all parts of the ground. Arsalan Amin departed after playing a fiery innings of 41 runs off 28 deliveries. Saad Faisal came in & he scored with the same intent. He too put up a partnership of 50+ runs with Adeel Meo. Adeel Meo took charge of the game as he middled the ball sweetly. He hit out every bowler that was brought into the attack dominating the game. The bowlers threw everything they had in their arsenal but Adeel Meo was upto the task every time. Saad Faisal played second fiddle to him as he scored boundaries at regular intervals. He played a solid knock of 37 runs off 22 deliveries. Adeel Meo played a sublime knock of 114 runs off just 50 deliveries blowing away the bowling attack. M Ali Naseem was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 3 wickets. Mavericks posted a mammoth total of 224 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.
TBH Gladiators came in to chase this target & were off to a dreadful start loosing half of their side inside the powerplay. The bowlers completely obliterated the top order as wickets fell in quick successions. Ajdal Aziz & Abdul rehman then managed to put up a partnership of 50+ runs showing some sort of a fight back. Abdul rehman upped the anti as he took the attack towards the bowlers. Despite the bowlers dominating he looked unfazed. He hit out every bowler that was brought into the attack keeping hopes alive for his team. Ajdal Aziz departed after scoring 32 rusn off 27 deliveries. Abdul rehman followed him soon as he played a sublime knock of 75 runs off just 26 deliveries but it was too big of a task for him to achieve alone as rest of the batting lineup completely collapsed. Salman Asif lead the bowling attack. He single handedly tore apart the batting lineup picking up 4 wickets. He found good support from Rehan Nepal & Hamas Nakhuda who picked up a couple of wickets each. TBH Gladiators were bowled out for 159 runs in 18 overs.
