Indus Motors took on ACME Technologies in the Karachi Super League match played at Naya Nazimabad Ground under lights.
ACME batted first and openers Adnan Siddiqui and Ali Mudassir exhibited fine form. The ball found the middle of the bat and the dew was not enough to stop the ball from constantly racing to the fence. Ali notched up his half century and eventually departed for 64 off 42 balls, but his partner Adnan, seemed like a man on a mission as he blazed 16 fours and 6 sixes to score a walloping 127 off 66 balls. Muneer was the only bright star in the Indus bowling performance and picked up all three wickets that fell for 228 runs in the ACME innings.
Indus had to chase at 11.5 runs an over and Faizan (39), Asad (21) and Usman (40) all played decent hands in an attempt to get the Indus team close to the gigantic target but the innings lacked finesse as none of the batsmen could carry on to make a big enough score. Ali Mudassir continued his fine night with the ball as well picking up 3 wickets while Irfan picked up 2 scalps as well. Eventually Indus fell short by 62 runs and Adnan was declared Man of the Match for his outstanding contribution with the bat.
