GULSHAN STRIKERS vs LEGENDS CC

Young Challengers clashed with Gulshan Strikers in a thrilling match of the 6th Campaigner Trophy. The start was not ideal as Gulshan Strikers batted first. The top order failed to impress apart from a cautious innings by Bilal, who got 17 runs off 24 balls. The batting display in general was pretty dismal as no batsman spent significant time on the crease. Affan and Zeeshan were two exceptions as they played beautifully and took their team from a collapse to a pretty decent position. Affan scored 58 runs off 40 balls and was assisted by Zeeshan’s 12 ball 33. Umair took 3 wickets for the Young Challengers while 2 wickets apiece were taken by Owais, Mdassir and Ibrahim. Gulshan Strikers were all out for 162 in the 19th over.
Young Challangers started their chase in an unimpressive manner, as two wickets fell one after another. This shaky start did not stop Salman from displaying a masterful innings which resulted in 42 runs off 28 balls. Kashan and Waseem had decent starts but they failed to convert their starts into bigger knocks. Kashan scored 22 runs off 10 balls while Waseem bagged 24 off 16. The rest of the batting lineup failed to contribute and Young Challengers were all out in 18.4 overs for 139 runs. Usama got 3 wickets while 2 wickets each were bagged by Umair and Zaid. The match was won by Gulshan Strikers by 25 runs.
