Cricket is finally back in full swing as Ace CC went head to head with Elegante at the Markhor Super League.
Batting first Ace CC lost both openers early before Khurram Qazi and Umair Majeed stepped in to helped stabilize their side. Khurram was in top form, smashing a sensational 68 off just 44 balls including 5 maximums. Umair kept things ticking on his end with a handy 31 and Usman Ladha also contributed with a cameo of 23. The team eventually ended at 162 for 7 in 20 overs. Elegante bowlers continued to pick wickets with Amir Darvesh, Ahmed Ehtesham and Abdullah Aziz picking 2 wickets each.
In response, Elegante opener Agha Mohammad Shah was in fine form. The batsmen knocked 74 off 45 balls to kick things off for his side. Opener Abdullah Aziz and one down Saad Fancy lost their wickets early but the team continued to keep the scoreboard ticking with Junaid’s 18 and Wasiq’s 27 helping their side chase down the target. Anas Ladha and Anas Hanif were the two most impressive bowlers for Ace CC, picking up 2 wickets each.
Elegante won by 3 wickets.
