Ten Pearls v Adamjee Insurance
Ten Pearls batted first and were off to a solid start. Openers Ahmed Ullah and Faiz Ul Haq contributed fiery knocks of 46 and 38 runs respectively to set the foundation for their side. A few wickets fell in intervals but the batting side fought back, keeping the scoreboard ticking throughout the innings. Asad Ullah and Faaz Ullah were impressive on the day scoring 37 and 39 runs respectively. Adamjee bowlers were ineffective against the batting line up, unable to pick wickets when required or stop the flow of runs. Rehan Athar was the key bowler for his side, picking up 2 wickets. Ten Pearls set a target of 186 runs in 20 overs.
In reply Adamjee Insurance were off to a disastrous start, losing opener Jahanzeb Khan for just 5 runs. Rameez Mehboob and Imran Chughtai then stabilized the innings with cameos of 37 and 29 runs respectively. Once the duo were dismissed however the team lost all momentum with the remaining batsmen throwing away their wickets. Ahmed Ullah was brutal with the ball, picking up 4 key wickets. He was joined by Taimoor Liaquat and Daniyal who kept the onslaught going, picking up 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Mansoor Ahmed was the last batsmen to show some resistance with a fighting knock of 23 runs but it wasn't enough to get his team over the line. Adamjee Insurance were limited to 153 runs in 20 overs.
