Ridan Warriors batted first against Aimmz Trading at the 23rd Challengers Cup Semi Final at TMC ground.
Opener Fayyaz did a brilliant job and scored 71 runs off 51 deliveries. The team however continued to stumble, losing wickets throughout the innings. Cameos from Ali Iqbal and Anas Javed, who scored 24 and 19 runs respectively, also helped Warriors reach a respectable 151 for 8 in 20 overs. Aimmz bowlers kept at it, picking wickets consistently to keep the total in check. Sheikh Rafay was the key wicket taker with 3 scalps while Hammad picked up a couple and there were 2 run outs.
In response, Aimmz Trading got a mediocre start as the openers departed early for 10 and 12 runs. But it was Abdur Rehman and Fareed’s innings which paved the way for the victory of Aimmz Trading. Abdur Rehman scored 30 runs while Fareed Shah Arbab scored a scintillating 62 runs off 49 balls and remained not-out. Aimmz Trading chased down the target in 19.3 overs. Adeel and Sameer from Ridan picked 3 and 2 wickets but were unable to restrict Aimmz trading from crossing the finishing line.
Aimmz Trading won by 2 wickets and are through to the final.
