Shamsher Khan batted first and got off to a poor start losing a wicket quite early in the match, Fahad and Rehan then got together and formed a solid partnership which not only settled some nerves in the dressing room but also kept the scoreboard ticking. Fahad Jabbar scored a magnificent 54 of 45 with 5 fours and 1 six and on the other hand, his partner Rehan scored 21 and 17. The partnership was broken and which allowed ICT bowlers to come back and they grabbed this opportunity as they picked up few quicker wickets. Zia Khan who was the next batsman was determined and he played a real crucial innings for his side of 35. The bowling was impressive from ICT with Ali Ammar leading the way as he picked up 3 wickets and he was supported by others as well. In the end ICT managed to restrict the opposition to just 140.
The response from ICT was a one-man show. They sent their best batsmen, Ali Iqbal to open the innings and he did not disappoint. What he did was astonishing, out of 140, more than 100 runs came from his willow. It was a dream innings; he was the star as he smashed the bowlers all around the park during his unbelievable effort. He scored a brilliant century with 4 sixes and 13 fours and at a strike rate of 219. Opposition did not know what to do but to praise this fantastic knock. Not much contribution was required from other batsmen after this blistering hitting as ICT comfortably got over the line only in 14.3 overs.
