F.C Sports were up against Zamzam Sports in the 13th Challengers Cup played at TMC.
Zamzam batted first and opener Hammad set off by smashing boundaries and gaining ground but faltered after scoring 27 runs of 20 balls. The innings picked up pace as Shabeb(24) and Shahid(31) muscled to build a partnership which was later bolstered by Shezad(16) and Farhan(20). However, the bowling attack by Siddiqui and Israr, each of whom picked up two wickets, stunted Zamzam's progress and restricted them to 152 for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.
F.C snapped back aggrssively as Sheikh strode high, hitting the ropes unceasingly and scoring a half century. Sheikh's performance was only trumped by Iqbal who also bagged six 4's and five 6's and scored 60 runs of 25 balls. Although Asif and Shahid bowled constructively and picked up three expensive wickets between them, Zamzam could not salvage the loss as F.C remained unfettered by the bowling attack and enjoyed a speedy victory with 7 wickets and 5.2 overs to spare.
