Ali Sports beat Debonair Fashion & Salon in the last over of a match held in the Power Play Cricket Night League 2020.
Ali Sports batted first and lost one of their openers for a duck. However, fellow opener Saad Dawood responded with 48 off 41 balls, bringing stability to the team. He built a strong partnership with Aqeel Doger who smashed a brilliant 94 off just 58 balls, including 13 boundaries. Khurram Ali Khan’s 16 also helped the team reach a high total of 175 runs. Madni Waqas Raja took 2 wickets, but the bowlers were unable to restrict the batsmen.
Debonair were off to a good start as opener Talha Shehzad scored a quick 52 off 22 balls while Ali Naveed scored 13 off 9 balls. Although Zubair Ahmed (18 off 13 balls) and Salman Shahid (19 off 29 balls) posted some runs on the board, the batting lineup collapsed and the team only reached 136 runs. Saad Dawood and Muhammad Ali took 3 wickets each for their side.
Ali Sports won by 39 runs.
