Wazir Ali Khoja Lions batted first against Civil Aviation Authority on a rain ridden pitch this past Saturday at the 26th Challengers Corporate Cup.
With the exception of Faizan Azam however, the team fell apart, throwing away their wickets, unable to to keep the scoreboard ticking. The team were rattled out for a low 82 in 16.2 overs as CAA bowlers were ruthless against the opposition. Hafeez Ur Rehman and Minhaj Abid were in form and on fire, picking up 3 wickets each in their spell. Usman also chipped in with a couple as Wazir Ali Khoja were simply ripped apart.
In response, Civil Aviation Authority made quick work of the chase with both openers turning up for their side. M Shahzad contributed a handy 25 while Nadeem Babar scored a fiery 44 to take CAA over the line in 11.1 overs. Kamran Ali and Umair Shaikh picked up a wicket each in vain.
CAA won by 8 wickets.
