Siccotel batted first against Epharm at the DCCL and lost opener Abdullah Jamal for duck. His partner Hamza Zahid however did well to keep the scoreboard ticking with a fiery 40. The team continued to lose quick wickets with the exception of Abdullah Tawab’s 34 off 22 helped his side to a low but respectable 136 for 9 in 20 overs. Epharm bowlers did well to limit the opposition with Ali Chawla, Ali Tahir Chawla and M Zohaib taking 2 wickets each and a solid effort by the rest of the unit.
In response, Epharm were off to a rocky start in the chase after losing their opener Mudassir and one down Faizan Elahi for duck. With a low score to chase however, the team did well to keep the scoreboard ticking with Saif Naseem playing a valuable innings of 31 runs. Farooq Zaki however was the star of the match. The all rounder knocked 46 off 40 and remained not out to take his side to victory. Siccotel bowlers fought hard to defend the target with 2 key run outs and Abdullah Jamal contributing with 2 wickets but it wasn’t enough to stop the flow of runs.
Epharm chased down the target in 18.5 overs and won by 3 wickets.
