New entrants Raj XI batted first against Hyderi Royals at the Bohra t20 League this past Sunday and could not have had worse start! After losing both openers early on for just 1 run, the team struggled throughout the innings, unable to gain stability at any stage. Saifuddin, Mufaddal and Adnan were the only batsmen to fight back with knocks of 26, 28 and 21 runs respectively while the remaining team imploded. Hussain Yousuf was the star bowler for Royals picking up 3 wickets in his spell. Ali Shabbir also chipped in with 2 wickets and the Hyderi bowlers did well to restrict the opposition, picking wickets when needed. Raj XI were bowled out for 97 in 17.3 overs.
In response Hyderi Royals also started off in similar fashion, losing both their openers cheaply. The team struggled to find their ground before Hussain Inayat stepped up with a match winning 44 not out to guide his team to victory. With Hussain holding his wicket on one end, minor contributions by the remaining batsmen helped Hyderi Royals chase down the target in 13.1 overs. Raj XI bowlers fought hard to try and defend their team's total with Hasnain and Mansoor picking up 2 wickets each in their spell.
