Mavericks batted first against Dua Enterprises and lost opener Irfan Shah early on for just 5 runs. The team then stabilized with the help of Zeeshan and Khuzaima who scored 28 and 37 runs respectively. However, after the duo was dismissed, there was a flurry of quick wickets with Usama's 34 and Sami Ur Rehman's 26 lower down the order boosted Mavericks to 167 for 9 in 20 overs. Dua bowlers picked wickets in regular intervals but let the game get away from them a little. Ahmed Sharjeel took 3 wickets with Mohsin Saleem and Ali Raza picking up 2 wickets each.
In response, Dua Enterprises were blown away by a fantastic display of bowling by Mavericks. Ali Raza's 39, Raheel Mamdani's 41 and Asif Khan's 26 were the only positives from the chasing side while the rest of the team were dismissed in single digits. Mavericks bowlers were relentless, consistently picking up wickets, not allowing Dua's batting side to gain any momentum. Muhammad Shahrukh was the star wicket taker for his side with 4 scalps while Usama took 3 and the rest of the unit chipped in to bowl Dua Enterprises out for 135 runs in 17 overs.
