Things are heating up at the Al Wakeel Cricket League Season 3 with Auto Mall and Muslim Gymkhana battling it out at the semi final.
Auto Mall batted first with opener Arif Yaqoob being dismissed for duck on the very first ball. The team however seemed to recover easily and despite losing wickets regularly, were able to effectively contribute cameos to keep the scoreboard ticking. Jamil Agha's 34, Faizan Azam's 28 and Adeel Ahmed's 26 helped their side reach a respectable 179 for 6 in 20 overs. Rehan Tanoli and Ahmed Hussain were relentless in their spells, picking up 3 wickets each.
In response, Muslim Gymkhana were in impressive form with Rehan Tanoli's 37 and handy knocks of 46 and 47 by Baber Malik and Shoaib Mirza sealing the victory in 19.4 overs. Auto Mall bowlers tried to pick wickets but could not keep the pressure on and get the breakthroughs when needed.
Muslim Gymkhana won by 5 wickets.
