Allied Engineering came in to bat first & were off to a dreadful start loosing 4 wickets inside the powerplay. The top order completely collapsed as the bowlers dominated the first half of the innings not allowing the batsmen any breathing space. Ammar Muhammad & Azeem Arif then managed to put up a partnership of 50+ runs giving their team some sort of a fight back. Azeem Arif looked like as if he was batting on a completely different track as he played a fiery innings of 52 runs off just 20 deliveries where as Ammar Muhammad played a sublime knock of 52 runs off 45 deliveries taking their team to a respectable total. The rest of the batting lineup completely collapsed as the bowlers kept on picking up wickets at regular intervals not allowing the batsmen to settle in. Raheel Ghani lead the bowling attack picking up 3 wickets. He found good support from Faisal Munir & Abdul Salam who picked up a couple of wickets each. Allied Engineering were bowled out for 151 runs in 19.1 overs.
National Foods came in to chase this target & were off to a shaky start. Despite loosing a couple of wickets inside the powerplay they were scoring at a healthy rate. Ahsan Fakhar & Irfan Khan put up a partnership of 50+ runs giving their team a decent start. Ahsan Fakhar scored 25 runs off 29 deliveries where as Irfan Khan played a fiery innings of 38 runs off 23 deliveries. Once the partnership was broken the bowlers made their comeback. The bowlers then managed to pickup wickets at regular intervals not allowing the batsmen to settle in. The rest of the batting lineup completely collapsed as Haris Anwer was left stranded at the other end who scored 31 runs off 23 deliveries. Ibrahim Burhanuddin, Abid Altaf & Ahsan Naseer picked up a couple of wickets each sealing the deal for their team.
