Islamabad Strikers won the toss and elected to bat first against Shalimar Cricket Academy Red at the Afsaneh presents KK and Multan Sultans KheloKhavateen tournament.
Strikers were unbelievable with their openers Aima Saleem and Fajar Naveed dominating the opposition! Aima was amazing in her innings of 68 off 35 which included 12 boundaries and 1 six. Fajar kept things ticking on her end with a handy 33 off 27 as Strikers posted a mammoth target of 113 in 10 overs for the loss of no wickets. Reds bowlers were helpless against the opposition, unable to pick wickets when needed.
In response, Shalimar Cricket Academy Red were no match for the Strikers bowlers with 4 of their batsmen being dismissed for duck. The team simply could not keep their wickets intact and were limited to a low 45 for 8 in 10 overs. Jahanzaib Akram was the most notable player from their side with only 11 runs. Fatima Shah was fantastic in her spell, picking up 3 wickets while Aima Saleem, Fajar Naveed and Hajra Sikander picked up a wicket each.
