American Doors Dominate F.C. Sports

In a Group C fixture of the 17th Challengers Cup, played at the TMC Ground, American Doors came head to head against the F.C. Sports, in a match that the former team dominated throughout.

After electing to bat first, American Doors began their innings in a shaky manner, losing their top order rather cheaply. However, the middle order came to the rescue with Rabish Ahmed scoring an outstanding half century. His 23 ball cameo of 53 balls, at a strike rate of 230, set the momentum for the remainder of the innings. Idrees Amin also played well to contribute a solid 44 runs in 31 balls to guide his team to a massive total of 170 runs. For the F.C. Sports, Ovais Badar was the key bowler, picking up 3 wickets for 26 runs.

F.C. Sports started their chase confidently, with opener Ibrahim Sheikh scoring a responsible 29 runs. However, the American Doors bowlers were outstanding with the bowl, taking quick wickets at short intervals. Salman Asif was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 wickets for 16 runs, in his spell of 3 overs. Khalid Kaka also bowled superbly to take a wicket for 7 runs in 3 overs. Thus F.C. Sports could only manage 138 runs.

American Doors won the match by 32 runs.
