Ammar Sets Up All Stars Victory

The Sauce batted first against Karachi All Stars and lost opener Mohsin and one down Wajhi cheaply. Jhangir and Faraz then lead the recovery with valuable knocks of 42 and 44 runs respectively. Karachi All Stars bowlers howver continued to make inroads with the unstoppable Muhammad Amir picking up 3 wickets. Anas Hussain also took a couple while the rest of the team chipped in picking up a wicket each. A late surge of 28 by Chao however boosted The Sauce to 175 for 9 in 20 overs.

In response, Karachi All Stars were off to a rocky start. After losing opener Sheriyar Niazi for 1, the team had to go into recovery mode. The top order however struggled against a formidable display of bowling and continued to lose wickets until captain Ammar Altaf stepped in to lead the recovery. His match saving 46 runs off just 38 balls pulled Karachi All Stars back in the game. He continued to lose partners on the other end however cameos of 25 by Hamza Ismail and Asad Mehdi's 25 lead their side to victory. Sauce bowler Dawood was sensational with the ball, taking 4 wickets in his spell but it wasn't enough to defend the total.
