Ammar Sports vs Eaton (1) (Ramzan League)
In this low scoring semi-final of Ramzan League, Ammar Sports eventually got over the line after a few early hiccups to reach final.
Eaton (1) batted first. It was a nervous start for them as they lost their opener Sajjad for a golden duck. After early loss Eaton (1) were quite under pressure. And in just 6 over game there is no settling time and ideally you want one of your batsmen to go berserk, unfortunately for Eaton (1) that did not happen. They took the pressure of early loss and could not really recover. They somehow managed to get to 39 with small contributions from almost everyone. This was not the most threatening score but at least they got something to ball at. The bowlers were superb again from Ammar Sports, Zubair and Al Rehman the opening pair was in fine form with the ball. They picked all 5 wickets to fall, Zubair took 2 for 9 whereas Al Rehman was brilliant as he picked 3 wickets just for 6 runs in his 2 overs.
Ammar Sports after a great first half wanted to make second even better. But it was not a straightforward task. The pressure of chasing in this big match got over them and brilliant line and length from Eaton (1) also did not help Ammar Sports. Zia ul Haq was in most impressive form with the ball for Eaton (1), he dismissed Noman of the very first ball of match and other then him he picked Nabeel who wasted 5 balls for his duck. Zia ul Haq was bowling so well but all good things come to an end and so did his spell. He finished his spell picking up 2 wickets for 6. After him no one really could manage to put pressure and Bilal for Ammar Sports played a match winning knock lower down the order. He scored 16 of 8 and remained not out. In the end with the efforts of Bilal, Ammar Sports managed to chase down the target in 5.3 overs at the expense of 5 wickets. Now they have qualified for the final where they will face Imtiaz Sports.
