Jubilee Life Insurance clashed with Engro Fertilizer in a low scoring fixture of the 3rd Corporate Cup Super League. Jubilee Life Insurance batted first and were up for trouble right away. The top order looked shaky and this made the job difficult for the rest of the batsmen. Opening batsman Zubair Ahmed was the top scorer with 25 runs which came off in 28 balls. Apart from Zubair, Raghib Moin also tried to hold the innings together with 17 runs from 21 balls. It was immaculate line length by the Engro Fertilizer bowlers, which restricted Jubilee Life Insurance from posting a good total. 2 wickets each were taken by Imran Iqbal and Jawwad, and a wicket apiece was grabbed by Sahib and Bilal Ahmed. Jubilee Life Insurance scored just 113 runs before being all out in the last over.
Engro Fertilizer had a decent start as Khurram and Irteza easily gathered some runs and put their team in the driving seat. Irteza lost his wicket for 14 but Khurram went on to score 31 runs off 21 deliveries. After the departure of both openers, the baton was picked up by Riaz Nazim and Ali Hyder. Both of them played sensibly as Riaz scored 25 runs off 30 balls while Ali Hyder got 33 runs off 33 balls. It was the 16th over when Engro Fertilizer chased the target and won the match by 8 wickets.
