Gladiators CC met the Ansari CC in the KMPL Night Cricket tournament.
Gladiators CC took to the crease to bat first. Their start was sluggish, held back by Daniyal Liaquat's excellent bowling efforts. Adeel Meo at No. 3 consolidated a half century, striking at just over a 100. Apart from Meo, none of the Gladiators batsmen put their hand up in the batting display. The lower middle order was completely dismantled as the bowlers kept striking consistently. Daniyal Liaquat was the pick of the bowlers, with his 3 wickets for 18 runs. Ultimately, the batting side was just able to accumulate 149 in 20 overs.
In the second innings, Ansari CC posted a highly useful opening partnership. Ali Rainbow and Sunny complemented one another extremely well. Rainbow struck 71 off 57 and Sunny made 30 runs, striking the ball at over 170. This aggressive start set the platform for a relatively easy chase for the Ansari CC. The middle order did not have to go too far out of their way to take risks since the target appeared manageable. At the loss of just 5 wickets, the chasing side managed to wrap up the match in 19 overs.
