Karachi Boat Club batted first against Modul Art with opener Arhum Latif absolutely smashing it out of the park!
In his maiden century, Arhum knocked 101 off just 49 balls including 14 boundaries and 4 maximums to help set up a mammoth total for his side. One down Saram played a vital role with his impressive 53 runs as Karachi Boat Club ended at 221 for 4 in 20 overs. Modul Art bowlers were absolutely hammered by the opposition with Raheel Malik managing to take 2 wickets and Meesam and Salik picking up a wicket each.
Modul Art’s batsmen had their work cut out for them with scoreboard pressure evident from the first ball. The chasing side needed an extraordinary innings or a solid partnership to give their team any chance in the game. The team however struggled to really get going at any stage with Boat Club’s bowlers picking up wickets consistently throughout the innings. Shoaib tried to fight back with his fiery 37 off 17 and Asif tried his hand with 26 off 23 but it wasn’t enough. Ahsen Wali, Yasir Farooqui, Rayan took 2 wickets each while Arhum and Ahsan Khan picked up a wicket each. Modul Art were bowled out for 159 runs.
Karachi Boat Club won by 62 runs.
