Arsalan Iqbal beat the Karachi Patriots in a thrilling bout at the Naya Nazimabad Ground last week, by 35 runs no less.
Arsalan Iqbal started off worryingly slow but came back with a 51 from 40 by Ammar Iqbal which along with 21 from 22 by Monik Khan, helped propel them to 122 in 20 overs for the loss of eight wickets. Mamoon Imtiaz was brilliant in his bowling performance, taking four wickets while Adeel Abbasi and Adnan Ghazi took two each.
The Karachi Patriots seemed at the mercy of their opportunity as their batting line-up crumbled quickly in the face of Arsalan Iqbal's bowling. They were all out for 87 in just 16.2 overs. Arsalan Iqbal lead the charge in bowling by taking three big wickets. Asadullah Hamza, Tauqeer Khan and Zafar Ali followed with two wickets each of their own. Finally, Jam Saifullah took one.
