Arshad Associates CC dominated against Hill Park CC in the 1st Chippa Challengers Cup Final.
In the first innings, Arshad Associates lost an early wicket but their batsmen stabilized the team even after the rough start. Opener Malik Karar Ali made 18 off 14 balls. Ibad Ur Rehman’s important knock of 53 off 34 balls provided great strength to the team, and he was supported by Fahad Jabbar, who scored 49 off 37 balls. Although the batsmen who came after them did not contribute much, their partnership helped the team reach a total of 126 runs. Hill Park CC’s lead wicket taker was Waqas Manzoor, who claimed a 4 wicket haul.
Hill Park CC’s struggled with the bat as one of their openers was dismissed for just 2 runs. The other opener Rameez Mehboob managed 14 runs off 16 balls. Shah Hussain’s 15 off 13 balls and Muzammil Mehboob’s 22 off 23 balls offered some resistance to the bowling attack, but their efforts were not enough. The batting lineup collapsed and the team was dismissed for just 83 runs. Arshad Associates’ bowlers were brilliant as they bowled economically and put pressure on the batsmen. Umair Sheikh bagged 4 wickets and was supported by the rest of the bowling attack.
Arshad Associates won the match by 43 runs.
