Ten Pearls batted first against United Energy Pakistan with Skipper Ajdal Aziz knocking it out of the park! After openers Faiz and one down batsman Sheraz were dismissed cheaply, Ajdal with Arsal Ali partnered to rescue the team. Ajda 101 off just 58 balls helped his side to recovery. He was well supported by Arsal Ali whose blistering 87 of just 48 balls boosted Ten Pearls to post a mammoth total of 213 for 2 in 20 overs. United Energy bowlers were helpess against the onslaught, unable to capitalize on their early break through. Sumair Sarwar picked up both wickets.
With a big total to chase, scoreboard pressure would always be on. United Energy Pakistan needed a solid partnership and an extraordinary innings to get things going. The team however lost 4 of their top order batsmen early on, including 2 ducks. Asad Ullah Ghalib was relentless in his spell, taking 4 wickets. Opener Ulfat Rasool was the only batsman to show any resistance with a fighting knock of 63 but he received no support on the other end. Faisal Amin tried to provide some home with his 26 but was unable to build the innings further. Ten Pearls bowlers were on fire, picking up wickets frequently, giving nothing away.
