Rising Eleven batted first against Trail Blazers at the Chippa Premier League with opener Atif Ahmed surprisingly being dismissed cheaply for just 5 runs. The team however managed to put together a few useful cameos with Shahnawaz Majeed scoring 32 runs and an impressive 45 off 35 by Salman Ayub which included 1 boundary and 2 sixes. Daniyal Shoaib also chipped in with a blistering 28 as Rising Eleven ended at 141 for 3 in 20 overs. Trail Blazers bowlers were quite ineffective against the opposition, unable to pick wickets when needed. Only Ansar Bhesani and Tayyab Balagamwala were able to pick up a wicket each while there was 1 run out.
In response, Trail Blazers were never really in the chase with both openers being dismissed for duck. One down Haris Altaf also threw away his wicket for 4 runs before Faisal Butt and Aamir Motiwala tried to save their side from a complete collapse. The duo built an impressive partnership, scoring 41 and 37 runs respectively but after Faisal was dismissed, the side simply imploded for 106 runs in 17.2 overs. Asim Bravo was unbelievable in his spell, picking up 3 wickets, giving away only 8 runs at an astounding economy rate of 2! Ahmed Mani kept things tight on the other end, picking up 4 wickets in his spell to restrict Trail Blazers in the chase.
Rising Eleven won by 35 runs.
