Auto Mall batted first against Karachi Gladiators at the Al Wakeel Cricket League Season 3. Despite losing opener Zain Khan, the batting side kept the momentum going with Syed Inam Agha turning up the heat with a sensational 67 and Jamil Agha scoring a valuable 40 off 24 as Auto Mall posted a solid target of 180 in 20 overs. Gladiators bowlers picked wickets later in the innings but were unable get the breakthroughs early on. Hamza Qadir bowled a super spell of 4 wickets while Rehman Ghani was unplayable in his spell of 2 wickets.
In response, Karachi Gladiators were never really in the chase! With the exception of Afnan Karim's 40 and Ejaz Shah's 33, none of the other batsmen were able to effectively contribute. Mall bowlers kept at it, taking wickets throughout, restricting Gladiators to just 143 in 20 overs. Umair Shaikh, Zain Khan, Mohib Ahsan and Anas took 2 wickets each.
Auto Mall won by 37 runs.
