Azad CC went against Takaful Pakistan Limited on 29th November at Rashid Latif Academy.
Bilal Aslam and Waqas Ahmed opened the innings for Azad CC, scoring 28 and 24 runs respectively. The bowlers dominated in the middle with Asad Sumar leading the attack and knocking off 3 wickets. In addition to this, Muhammad Anas Waleed and Asim took 2 wickets each. Abdul Rafay the lower order batter added 30 more runs to the score. Hence, Azad CC posted a total of 165 runs at the loss of all wickets in 20 overs.
The chase was started by Ibrahim Sardar Dosani and Abdul Rehman Halari’s partnership, who scored a 39 and 9 runs respectively. The batters displayed a sloppy effort, as the bowlers dominated. Waqas Ahmed dominated and led the attack bagging 4 wickets at an economy rate of 6.50. In addition to this, Abdul Rafay took 3 wickets while Uzair Parekh dismissed 2 batters.
As a result, Azad CC successfully defended their score and won the match in 19.3 overs.
