Bankers XI Vs Sangam Sports
Bankers XI batted first and were off to a shaky start with their opening pair. Arshad Hussain went down for a duck and Mohammad Jawad scored 7 runs only. Khalid Ahmed and Kamran Ahmed kept on taking wickets right from the start and got 2 wickets each to their names. M. Umair Khan and Midsab played their part and scored 12 and 13 runs respectively. S. Sharjeel Ahmed made a valuable contribution to the total with his knock of 30 runs, followed by M. Waseem’s amazing knock of 62 runs. Rana Abdul Razzaq was the last player to score in the double figures with his knock of 34 runs. At the end of 20 overs, Bankers XI had scored a total of 188 runs.
Sangam Sports made quite an impact on the game with their performance in the first innings, and it was the batting order’s turn to show their skills with the bat. Noman Sajid started off decently and scored 19 runs with huge assistance of Bilal who scored a magnificent 63 runs. Shoaib, Sharjeel Ahmed and Ghous gave a hard time to the batting side with their bowling spells right from the start and managed to pick up 2 wickets each. Yahya A Ansari and Syed Zain Ali tried to change the face of the game with their partnership of 39 runs, but couldn’t do so because of the resistance put up by the bowling side. By the end of 20 overs, Sangam Sports had lost 7 wickets and were restricted to a total of 165 runs.
Bankers XI won the match by 23 runs.
