Smashers XI were matched up against the Chippa Strikers.
Smashers XI batsmen dominated the first innings display. Although they lost their openers quickly, Bilal Nadeem and Haseeb Javed stepped up to produce an immaculate partnership. Nadeem smoked the opposition's bowlers all over the park, securing 83 from 58 balls. His partner, Haseeb Javed motored along with 46 runs of his own. Their efforts allowed Smashers XI to post 168 on the board at the loss of just 4 wickets.
The second innings batting display followed the same blueprint as the first. The Chippa Strikers openers fell cheaply. Their dismissals were followed by a solid partnership in the middle between Ejaz and Hamza Shahnawaz. Both batsmen secured 69 runs, striking at over 130. Shahnawaz carried the chasing effort through to the end, ensuring that Chippa Strikers got over the line with an over to spare.
