Bayer Pakistan and TPL Pakistan went against each other on 30th October at Gulberg Gymkhana.
Qaiser Hussain and Ammar Baqir opened the innings for TPL Insurance, scoring 33 and 15 runs respectively. M Faisal, the one-down batter, lost his wicket on a single run to Aqeer Ur Rehman. The batting lineup displayed a sloppy effort, and the bowlers dominated. Abrar Ahmed led the attack, as he bagged 3 wickets. In addition to this, 5 bowlers from the attack dismissed a batter each. Hence, TPL posted a total of 115 runs.
Daniyal Naqvi and Raheel Siddiqui gave a slow start to Bayer Pakistan, as Daniyal scored 17 runs while Raheel lost his wicket on a duck. Imran Mahmood, the one-down batter, stabilised the innings and smashed 41 off 23. His innings included 4 fours and 3 sixes. Aqeel Ur Rehman also played a crucial knock of 20 runs. Though M Faisal and Muhammad Bilal bagged two wickets. However, they were unable to build pressure and halt the batters’ momentum.
As a result, Bayer chased the score in the 14th over only and won the match by 4 wickets.
