Benitoz Panthers batted first against Kalsoft Knights at the Al Wakeel Cricket League and were met with a tough display of bowling. Knights bowler Naveed Nagda was in form and on fire, determined to cause damage, taking 3 wickets in his spell. Ahmed Arshad and Mohib Ahsan however kept calm with responsible innings of 36 and 23 respectively before Saad Ahmed took over. His valuable 59 not out included 4 boundaries and 4 sixes boosting Benitoz Panthers to 151 for 6 in 14 overs.
Kalsoft Knights however started of with a wicket, losing opener Asif Iqbal for duck. The top order struggled against the opposition, losing too frequently to put runs on the board. Ahmed Sharjeel posted 20 while Hamid Shahid was the only player with any fight in him contributing a much needed 38. Saad Aarbi tried to save his side lower down the order with 23 but it was too little too late. Panthers bowlers were aggressive with Hamza Ali Khan, Umer Khan and Zeeshan Arshad taking 2 wickets each. Saad Ahmed also picked up a wicket as Kalsoft Knights were dismissed for 125 in 14 overs.
