Super Daddy Cricket Club batted first against Omega XI with skipper Shahram Rasool being dismissed on duck. The team however played a scrappy innings with Omar Shahid, Yasir Mufti, Najam and Zakir Mehmood all chipping in to get their side to a respectable 155 in 20 overs. Omega XI bowlers did well to pick wickets and keep the scoring rate under control with Naik Akmal being the most successful bowler for his side with 2 wickets.
In response, Omega XI were off to a disastrous start with both openers dismissed early on. Taimur, Rizwan and Affan did well to recover after that, contributing valuable scores of 30s to pull their side back in the game. Peer Gul was sensational with the bat, knocking a blistering 41 off 17 to help Omega XI chased down the target in 18.1 overs. Super Daddy bowlers were unable to contain the opposition.
It was a big moment however for Super Daddy’s bowler Ali Mufti who has now taken 200 wickets in his career. A commendable record.
