Bilal Associates Win Low Scoring Game

In a match that turned out to be a low-scoring affair, Bilal Associates toppled Dolphins CC in the Dr. Junaid Ali Shah Corporate League.

In the first innings, Bilal Associates’ batsmen got off to a solid start with opener Zakir Malik scoring a sublime half century. Striking at a 150, Malik gave the Associates a decent start but the remaining batsmen were unable to capitalize on it. Fareed Shah and Ashar Qureshi’s three wickets apiece kept the batting efforts significantly in check. With Umair Botam giving away just 9 runs in his 4 overs, the batsmen were unable to launch at any time during the innings. The innings closed with Bilal Associates posting 131 on the board at the loss of eight wickets.

The second innings saw the Dolphins CC batsmen starting relatively slow. The openers scored cautiously at under 6 runs an over. Akhtar Muhammad’s 30 off 34 balls was the highlight of the underwhelming batting effort. The batsmen never looked like getting their feet in the game as wickets tumbled one after another. Shahid Mirani picked up 4 wickets for 16 and Waseem Ali assisted with 3 wickets of his own. The disciplined bowling display eventually overpowered the batting side as Dolphins CC rolled over for 102 in just 18 overs.

With the opposition bowled out, Bilal Associates won the match by 29 runs.
