Hush Puppies batted first against ANB and lost opener Daniyal for duck at the all important semi final of the CPL Night tournament.
The batting side seemed to recover for a while with Hassan, Owais and Asad chipping away at the scoreboard with cameos of 29, 33 and 22 runs respectively. Ahmed Arshad also scored 26 but the team stumbled the later half of the innings with Baber Anwar ripping through the line up. Baber picked up a fifer with Asif and Umer taking 2 wickets each to restrict Hush Puppies to 159 in 19.5 overs.
In response, ANB lost opener Ahsan Shafiq for duck to an unfortunate run out but it was all smooth sailing from there. Bilal Ahmed was in fine touch with 76 off 55 and remained not out to carry his side to victory. Umair Arshad also kept things going with his 39 as ANB chased down the target in 17.3 overs. Hush Puppies bowlers were helpless, unable to take wickets when needed.
ANB won by a comfortable 7 wickets and are through to the final.
