Mavericks CC batted first against SM X1 with the opening pair of Bilal Aslam and Ahmed Asif blowing away the opposition. The batters refused to give SM X1 bowlers any chance in the game with Bilal Aslam smashing a sublime century- 106 runs off just 60 balls to help set a mammoth total for his side. Ahmed kept the momentum going on the other end with a fiery 56 as Maverick CC posted a target of 216 in 20 overs. SM X1 bowler Abdul Ghani was able to pick up a wicket but it was too little, too late.
In response, SM X1 needed something extraordinary to chase down the target. The side however fell apart with only Sarfaraz Khan putting up a fight with his 62 run innings. The rest of the batters continued to lose wickets as Mavericks CC bowlers did well to keep the pressure on. Abdullah Afzal was brilliant with the ball, picking 4 wickets in his spell while Arsalan Amin took 3 wickets and Saad Dawood scraped a couple. SM X1 were eventually bowled out for 143 runs in 18.4 overs.
Mavericks CC won by 73 runs.
