Super Challangers Cup management arranged a friendly match between Changan Karachi Lions & Big Bang Productions. Which was played at RLCA Gulberg. Big Bang Productions brought in a star studded lineup which was packed with our very own national & international superstars & cricketers. The likes of Asim Azhar, Azhar Ali, Fajad Mustafa, Kamran Akmal & Younis Khan participated in this match which lit up the stadium with their brilliance brining pure entertainment.
Changan Karachi Lions came in to bat first & were off to a flying start. Despite loosing 2 wickets inside the powerplay they were scoring at a high rate. Baseer Khan scored 11 off 9 where as Zakir Malik scored 16 off 9. Hannan Achakzai came in & he took the attack towards the bowlers. Despite the opposition being filled with superstars he didn’t take the pressure, instead he reverted the pressure on the opposition with his brilliant power hitting. He struck the ball nicely hitting out every bowler that was brought into the match. The bowlers kept on picking up wickets at regular from the other end. Fareed Shah Arbab came in & he played a cameo of 29 runs off 18 deliveries. Yousaf Afridi also played a fiery innings of 14 runs off 5 deliveries. Hannan Achakzai on the other end kept playing with the same rate. He played a sublime knock of 97 runs off just 60 deliveries barely missing a well deserved century. Younis Khan, Faizan islam, Fahad Mustafa, Ali Khan & M Atique managed to pickup a wicket each. Changan Karachi Lions posted a total of 193 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
Big Bang Productions came in to chase this target & were off to a shaky start. Despite loosing a couple of wickets early on they were scoring at a healthy rate. Obaid Khan opened the innings with Asim Azhar. Asim Azhar failed to get going as he departed early after scoring 3 runs off 5 deliveries. Former Pakistan captain Azhar Ali came in to bat. The international superstar failed to quite leave his mark on the match as well as he departed after scoring 13 runs off 11 deliveries. Obaid Khan followed him soon as he scored 21 off 15. The Pakistani TV sensation came in to bat & he too struggled to get going as he departed after scoring run a ball 9 runs. The two former test cricketers then proved to be dividend for their side as well. Wicket keeper batsman Kamran Akmal & one of the finest batsmen Pakistan ever produced Younis Khan put up a partnership of 50+ runs bringing their team back into the match. The duo scored at a quick pace as both the batsmen brought in all of their international experience hitting the ball towards all parts of the ground. Kamran Akmal departed after scoring a brisk 35 off 19. Ali Khan came in & he played with the same intent. He looked in no mood to settle in as he took the attack towards the bowlers from word go. He played a cameo of 36 runs off 18 deliveries. Younis Khan followed him soon as he was dismissed after playing a fiery innings of 40 runs off 29 deliveries. Sami Khan scored 16 off 11 & Rehan Nazim scored 10 off 4 finishing a nail biting encounter for their side. Fazal managed to pickup a couple of wickets where as Huzaifa Munir, Zia Ullah, Naimat Khan Afridi, Yousaf Afridi & Hannan Achakzai managed to pickup a wicket each.
