Ridan Warriors batted first against Blue Sharks at the 21st Challengers Cup and what a collapse they had! After losing opener Sohaib Ghori for just 4 runs, the team continued to lose wickets in regular intervals, unable to keep the scoreboard ticking. Sharks bowlers were out for blood, keeping the pressure on and picking wickets to restrict the opposition. Adamjee Tai was the only player to fight back with a valiant knock of 39 runs while the rest of the team imploded. Asad Jadoon was outstanding in his spell, bamboozling the opposition with his 4 wickets. Abdul Muqeet also took 3 wickets while Roman Ali picked up a couple to dismiss Ridan Warriors for 122 in 18.4 overs.
In response, Blue Sharks turned an easy chase into an exciting encounter. After losing opener Jibrail for just 4 runs, the team steadied itself with Syed Ibrahim's 29 and Anas Yousuf's 41. Panic however ensued after there was a flurry of quick wickets including 2 ducks which pulled Ridan Warriors back in the game. Sharks however kept at it with Asad Jadoon's 22 off 11 lower down the order inching them closer to victory. They eventually chased down the target in 19.4 overs. Warriors bowler Salman Dossani picked up 2 wickets while the rest of the bowling unit chipped in but could not contain the opposition.
