The final of the Karachi Masters League took place at Naya Nazimabad Ground between Haseen Habib and Bilal Associates.
Bilal Associates batted first and were completely outdone by a fantastic display of bowling from the Habib unit. Star duo Zakir Malik and Ali Iqbal were dismissed for duck and the team imploded after that. Hamza Qadir and Farhan Nisar tried to save their side from a complete collapse with knocks of 20 and 30 respectively but their side was eventually dismissed for a low 98 in 18.5 overs. Muhammad Atif was in fine form, picking up 3 wickets in his spell while Kamil Mehmood and Muhammad Nabeel picked up a couple.
In response, Haseen Habib's opening batsmen set the foundation for a comfortable victory. Farhan Sadiq scored 31 while Fawad Barry contributed 22. The team then lost a flurry of quick wickets but given the low total, the team managed to chase down the target in 19.1 overs. Bilal bowlers did well to try and restrict the opposition but the target was simply not defendable. Bilawal Malik was the key wicket taker for their side with 2 scalps.
Haseen Habib won by 4 wickets and are winners of the Karachi Masters League Season 2!
