Wintex Strikers went up against Bright Gymkhana at the FC Cup Final. Batting first, Wintex Strikers lost their opener early and completely fell apart after that. Atif Ahmed tried to fight back with 23 runs but the team continued to lose wickets. Adeel Abbasi was impressive with the bat smashing 58 runs in his innings to boost Wintex Strikers to a respectable 127 for 8 in 20 overs. Bright Gymkhana bowlers did well to keep the pressure on with Shoaib Ibrahim and Ali Nasim picking up 2 wickets each.
In response, Bright Gymkhana wavered in the chase after losing opener Fazal for just 10 runs. Their top order then imploded with Afzal, Haider and Ali Nasim all throwing away their wickets. Shafaqat Ali's 36 and Ali Bantva's 45 not out then saved their side as Bright Gymkhana managed to chase down the target in 16.4 overs. Wintex bowlers did well to restrict the opposition but had to low a total to defend. An in-form Adeel Abbasi picked up 2 wickets along with Salman Dossani who also picked up a couple.
