Saadi Associates batted first against Benitoz at the 24th Challengers Cup.
Saadi Associates performed quite amateurly and got bowled out for 110 runs. The highlights from the batting side were Fahad and Sheraz who scored 37 and 30 runs respectively. Opener Saad also scored 15 runs while none of the other batsmen were able to keep their wickets intact. Benitoz bowlers were in fine form, picking the correct line and lengths to run through the batting line up. Waqas and Umer were the key bowlers who claimed 3 wickets each. Anas Karwa also picked up 2 wickets while Hamza bagged 1 wicket.
Benitoz in reply, swiftly chased the target. Opener Ali scored a tremendous half century and played an unbeatable knock of 52 runs. He was supported by opener Talha and then the middle-order Ahmed who scored 21 and 30 runs respectively. Benitoz only took 13 overs to cross the Saadi Associates’ total. Associates badly failed in the bowling after doing the same in their batting. Saad was their only wicket taker who took one wicket.
Benitoz won by 9 wickets.
