Wonder Boys went out to bat in the first innings and the entire innings revolved around two exceptionally good players. The highlight of the innings was without an iota of doubt from Hassan who was in glorious form. He constructed a brilliant 124 from just 63 balls with 8 fours and 10 humongous sixes. He was in fiery form and he made the bowlers look ordinary. If Hassan was the star performer then his partner, Madni Bawany was also not far behind and should also be credited for his efforts. Madni played a vital role in the partnership and scored 65 off 48 balls with 4 fours and 5 sixes. Wonder Boys did exceptionally well in the first innings and they posted 200 in their 20 overs.
The run chase was off to a perfect start with Faizan and Haris looking in sweet touch. Faizan scored 3 beautiful boundaries before he was sent back to the pavilion by Kashif, it was a setback for Rising Star but Haris did not let the bowlers take control as he kept attacking them and scored a quick-fire 37 off 18 balls. After the dismissal of the openers, the middle order took charge and carried the momentum forward. Rising Star were on track but they were missing a solid innings to take them through the chase. Every one contributed with the bat but none carried the bat throughout the innings. Waqas also scored a quick 30 off just 18 balls but just like others he was also dismissed when he was looking threatening. In the end, Rising Star managed to score 186 and they fell short by 14 runs.
