Burhani CC batted first against Sams XI at the 3rd Bohra Champions League. Openers Mustafa Hasan and Ali Ratan did well to post runs on the board with handy knocks of 32 and 41 runs respectively. Once the pair were dismissed, the subsequent batsmen continued to keep the momentum in their favour with each player contributing effectively. Ammar Muhammad's 41, Hussain Abbas's 30 and Aamir Hussain's blistering 24 boosted Burhani CC to a mammoth target of 208 in 20 overs. A Qadir took 2 wickets for Sams XI.
Sams XI needed something extraordinary to chase down this target. The team however lost opener Hakim for just 6 runs and things did not get any better after that. Fakhruddin top scored for his side with 22 not out as Sams XI's batsmen simply could not get going. Burhani CC did well to keep the pressure on, picking wickets when needed, giving nothing away. Saifuddin and Ammar took 2 wickets each as Sams XI were limited to 108 for 5 in 20 overs.
