Cafe Qabail victorious over Coconut Grove

Cafe Qabail came in to bat first & were off to a flying start. Despite loosing a wicket in the powerplay they were scoring at a high rate. Syed Jahangeer Shah & Ismail Shah put up a fiery partnership at the top with Ismail Shah playing a cameo of 34 runs off 17 deliveries. Abdullah Alam came in & he played with the same momentum. He took the attack towards the bowlers picking up boundaries at regular intervals. Syed Jahangeer Shah departed after scoring 34 runs off 27 deliveries. The bowlers then managed to pickup 3 quick wickets breaking the momentum of the innings. Malik Karar Ali came in & he turned the tides. He played a cameo of 28 runs off just 13 deliveries. Abdullah Alam followed him soon as he played a sublime knock of 68 runs off 44 deliveries. Naimat Khan Afridi came in & ended the innings on a high scoring 13 runs off 4 deliveries. Umer Lohya lead the bowling attack picking up 4 wickets. Rabish Ahmed also managed to pickup a couple of wickets as well. Cafe Qabail posted a total of 197 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

Coconut Grove came in to chase this target & were off to a shaky start. Despite loosing a couple of wickets inside the powerplay they were scoring at a high rate. Abdul Basit Zaki played a cameo of 34 runs off 18 deliveries. Muneeb Javaid departed after scoring 17 runs off 15 deliveries. Umer Lohya & Umer Chawla then put up a solid partnership of 50+ runs. The duo took the attack towards the bowlers. There was some clean power hitting on display from both the ends. Umer Lohya departed after playing a fiery innings of 55 runs off 39 deliveries. Umer Chawla followed him soon as he was dismissed after playing a sublime knock of 53 runs off 33 deliveries. Once the duo was back in the shed the bowlers never let the momentum go picking up wickets at quick successions. Kaif Bilal lead the bowling attack picking up 3 wickets. He found good support from Malik Karar Ali who picked up a couple of wickets.
