Chiniot United v Casta
Chiniot United batted first and were off to a rocky start losing their top 3 batsmen early on in the innings. Nadeem Mushtaq then lead the recovery with an impressive knock of 42 runs which included 4 boundaries and 1 maximum. He was however alone in his fight as the rest of the squad struggled to contribute runs effectively with the bat. Casta's bowlers did well to limit the opposition, picking up wickets at key times. Muhammad Haseeb was the key bowler for his side with 2 wickets with the rest of the bowling unit putting up a strong performance. Mujtaba Suleman was the last notable contributor for his side with a cameo of 20 runs. Chiniot United set a target of 122 runs in 20 overs.
It was a rollercoaster chase for Casta. The team lost their opener Maroof for just 2 runs but quickly recovered with Rizwan, Jawad and Nadeem fighting back scoring 40, 28 and 46 runs respectively. Once the trio was dismissed however the team simply imploded, throwing away their wickets cheaply with two of their batsmen being dismissed for duck. Chiniot bowlers fought hard to defend their team's total with Nadeem Mushtaq and Faraz Suleman taking 2 wickets each. Eventually however given the strong foundation set by Casta's top order, minor contributions lead their team to victory. Casta chased down the target in 17.4 overs.
